Discuss event coverage ↗All prices are in US dollars. Standard Salem sessions include up to four people; each additional person is $50. Existing bookings keep their agreed terms.
Travel.
Salem: no added travel charge for any booking, including the usual parking and tolls.
Locations within 30 driving miles of Rensselaer, NY, have no mileage charge. For other destinations, mileage is $0.50 per mile of the round-trip road distance beyond the first 60 miles. There’s no hourly driving charge.
Any tolls, parking or necessary overnight costs outside Salem will be included in your full quote before you book, so there are no surprise travel expenses later.
How travel is calculated
These are example driving distances, not quotes for specific destinations. Other disclosed expenses are separate.
- 20 miles each way: 40-mile round trip. No mileage charge.
- 80 miles each way: (160 − 60) × $0.50 = $50.
- 200 miles each way, with an overnight stay: (400 − 60) × $0.50 = $170 mileage. If the agreed hotel cost were $150, the travel total would be $320 before any quoted tolls or parking. The hotel amount is illustrative, not a fixed rate.
Before you book
A few practical details.
A 50% retainer holds your date, with the remaining balance due the day before the session. Normal gallery turnaround is 2–3 weeks.
The retainer is non-refundable but may be transferable with proper rescheduling notice. We’ll discuss weather or emergencies together. Full details are in the FAQ.
